Description
The ALLIGATOR A8 flush-mount anchor provides a secure hold in solid and hollow concrete, brick, stone, and drywall, and is made in USA. Once inserted flush with the surface of a 5/16" drilled hole in a wall, ceiling, or floor, the anchor accepts a #8 to #14 size screw with a thread length at least equal to the thickness of the item being fastened plus 1-3/4". The fins on the anchor head grip the mounting material to prevent spinning when a screw is inserted. When installed within a solid material, the corrosion-resistant polypropylene body expands and elongates to fill and mold to the hole when a screw is inserted. This helps distribute the force evenly throughout its length to help prevent wall fracture. When installed within a hollow material or a solid material with unexpected cavities, the anchor's jaws open as a screw is inserted, locking the anchor and screw within the material.Specifications

Anchors provide reinforcement to fasteners installed in materials that are considered brittle or have insufficient hold such as drywall, concrete, brick, and stone. Anchors provide support through methods such as expansion from within or behind the substrate, or insertion of adhesive compounds into drilled holes.
Anchor System manufactures wall anchors and toggle bolts. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Norwalk, CT.
Anchor installs into hollow and solid materials such as concrete, brick, stone, and drywall to securely hold a load
Corrosion-resistant polypropylene body expands and elongates within a solid substrate to distribute force evenly and opens its jaws to lock position within a hollow substrate when a screw is inserted
Made in USA, and works with #8 to #14 screw sizes (sold separately)
Ultimate tensile strength is 85 lb. in 1/2" drywall and 1,025 lb. in 3,500 psi concrete with a #12 sheet metal screw
