Was tested (takes 3 "AA" batteries (not included), and works great! Tested for 24 hours, and kept very good time. Birds sounded off (different species) each hour on the hour. Has sounds for House Finch, American Robin, Northern Mockingbird, Blue Jay, House Wren, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Oriole, Mourning Dove, Black-capped Chickadee, Northern Cardinal, White-throated Sparrow, and White-breasted Nuthatch. Directions on the back as to how to set it up when putting in batteries. I think the frame is wood (small scratch on the right side-see picture), but could be plastic. Please see all pictures.
